Life’s Tapestry

Vision of a simple life

Free from the chaos caused by strife towards perfection

Lost, the passion for more

Enticed instead by minimalist persuasions

Owned by our possessions

We are bound by the requirement of their use

Time swallowed without meaning

Lost to the things we pursue

Finding joy in the simple

Forgotten the peace known to relaxation

Stumbling blindly as though unknowing

The truth known only to memories

Before dreams turned to actions

Laughter dominated our existence

Light and dark were discernible

Not easily persuaded towards risk of pain

Gripped by age we became fearful

Less time to accomplish and leave our mark

Stepping from light into darkness

Feeling our way down a path uncertain

Life, not kind to all

Gives abundance in the manor it chooses

While gifts held hostage may wither

Sharing makes way for the impossible

Those who may stumble, reverting

Wanting for something less than their portion

Life allows each to choose

Making provision for peace or disillusionment

Existence, so complex in nature

Compounded by man’s desire to achieve

The sum of which all paths related

In Life’s Tapestry each thread uniquely weaved
