Moms Little Man
The little boy waves as he walks on the plane
As Grandparents, moms and dads give him a smile
His tall slender mom you can tell she enjoys
Her small little man who’ll be hers for a while
He settles in to his big airplane seat
And looks all around at the buttons and lights
The table latch straight ahead catches his eye
He asks “Mom, the table”, “would it be alright”
She gives him her look like most mothers can do
The little man knew that she didn’t approve
So he pressed his back into the tall cushioned seat
And curled his lips out, gave a frown, then said “Shute”
But it wasn’t long till’ he leaned his head out
To give me a smile and a wave once again
His mom shook her head saying “he’s born to act”
As she buckled his seat belt and gave him a grin
Inspiration
Written while flying from the New Orleans to LA, observing the last passengers board the plane, I watched a little 2 year old boy walk down the isle giving a wave to each seated passenger as he walked by them. This all happened in about 30 seconds
